Christopher Nixon – Biography
Christopher Nixon is a devoted husband, father, pastor, and songwriter with a heart for ministry and music. Married since 1998 to his high school sweetheart, Carla, Christopher has built a life centered on faith, family, and a passion for sharing the gospel. Together, they have raised two daughters, Brooklyn and Annarose, who share their love for music and ministry.
For the past 18 years, Christopher has faithfully served as a pastor, with the last 12 years at Gaylesville First Baptist Church. His deep commitment to preaching and pastoral leadership is rooted in his education, having earned a Bachelor's degree in Expository Preaching & Pastoral Leadership from Boyce College in conjunction with The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. His ministry is marked by a desire to see lives transformed through the power of God’s Word.
Beyond the pulpit, music plays a significant role in the Nixon household. As a family, they sing and perform Southern Gospel music under the stage name The Nixon Family, with all four members contributing their voices to their heartfelt harmonies. Inspired by his lifelong love of country music—shaped by legends like Joe Diffie, Tracy Lawrence, and Doug Stone—Christopher has also turned his talents toward songwriting. His songs blend the rich storytelling and melodies of classic country with the faith-filled message of Southern Gospel and Christian Country music.
The most important things in the Nixon household are God, family, Atlanta Braves baseball, and music. Whether preaching, performing, or writing songs, Christopher Nixon remains committed to using his gifts to glorify God and encourage others through faith-driven music and ministry.
