We are a Southern Baptist church and a member of the Cherokee Baptist Association.

More importantly, we are a local body of believers; members of the body of Christ, who seek to be real people, possessing and exercising a real and relevant faith, relationally involved and engaged in the community and the world in which we live.

So, what should you expect upon entering our church...a warm and welcoming place, at any given service you attend at Gaylesville you will probably receive more hugs and handshakes than you're used to getting, meet people who have never 'met a stranger' and you will likely become 'instant life-long friends,'; you will leave knowing that you've found a 'home away from home,' and a 'family of faith' for years to come. Each time we meet is a 'family reunion,' a homecoming, per say, until we meet again.

We still sing from the old "red back hymnals" and our pastor still preaches the Gospel from the King James Bible. Sure, it seems old-fashioned but what's wrong with that?
